The webinar "How to Accelerate Your Energy Park" showcased how Windplanner supports faster and more inclusive development of energy projects. With over 75 invited persons, the session introduced the transition from WindPlanner to EnergyPlanner, reflecting the broader focus beyond just wind energy.
The presentation covered key industry trends, including the shift toward integrated energy parks that combine wind, solar, storage, and even hydrogen production. The software enables early-phase planning, GIS data integration, stakeholder collaboration, and real-time impact visualization—such as shadow and noise effects—through interactive maps and 3D models.
Three project phases were demonstrated: research, exploration, and public consultation. In the research phase, users can map out potential turbine and solar field layouts while considering constraints like nature zones and nearby residences. In the exploration phase, layouts can be compared using real turbine models, battery storage, substations, and hydrogen plants. The public consultation phase highlighted tools for stakeholder feedback, shadow/noise simulations, and interactive presentation platforms—including a VR-enabled consultation room.
The session concluded by inviting users to try the software via a free 14-day trial or schedule a personal demo.
