On the western edge of Amsterdam, just below Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam Osdorp Business Park is taking shape A unique industrial area where business and ecology come together. Commissioned by SADC (Schiphol Area Development Company), The Imagineers contributed to the visual storytelling of this innovative project.
What sets this business park apart is its strong landscape and ecological focus. The green, nature inspired design is not limited to public spaces: each plot and every company locating here is expected to contribute to a sustainable and environmentally conscious environment. As a result, the layout of the site is more than just functional, it invites companies to take part in a greener future.
Rainwater as a Guiding Principle
A key feature of the park is its innovative approach to rainwater management. At the heart of the development lies a central water park that collects rainwater from all surrounding plots and buildings. Through a system of aqueducts, the water is guided from rooftops to the central basin, and then further discharged through an interconnected network of natural waterways. This integration of water management within the landscape not only enhances the ecological value of the area but also contributes to its distinctive identity.
Our Contribution
The Imagineers supported this project with tailored visual communication. Using map-driven visualizations, realistic imagery, and clear narrative tools, we helped convey how the park is being developed and what it requires from future tenants. Throughout the process, the landscape vision remained at the core of our work.
Amsterdam Osdorp Business Park proves that even in a business driven context, area development can actively contribute to a greener and healthier living environment. We’re proud to have played a role in shaping and communicating this forward thinking initiative.
