During information meetings, we show visitors exactly how the proposed plan will look. This can be, for example, from their street or from the air, so they can get an idea of the shadow flicker. We can also measure the distance from their home to the nearest planned turbine.
For the information meeting, we use our Windplanner web application, which allows us to view the plan from all angles online. In a 3D world, or through panoramic photos like Street View. This way, all parties involved get a realistic and recognizable image of the plan.
We regularly support residents' meetings or information sessions as a neutral expert party. We are neither for nor against; we only show exactly what the visual impact of the plan is on the living environment. This is helpful for the project initiator because it gives them the freedom to engage in conversations with local residents. And it’s beneficial for the residents because they get a clear picture of how the plan will actually look.
